Default Bill tomorrow (Feb 24 2020)

This is bad so I made a new thread:

    https://globalnews.ca/news/6720551/j...-support-bill/

This would give a minority government the ability to tax and spend without any support from Parliament. Regardless of what your political stripe is everyone needs to understand how bad this is. We would have an unaccountable government when it comes to our money.

This is quite unique(or not)when Government needs to make swift decisions-lets shuffle feet for weeks,do the needed so slowly, day by day -then lets grab every opportunity in one shot and fast ,to impose this bill,to take our money and rule on their own will.

Good on Sheer for standing up for the majority of us.

This is the best of times to have a minority government. They can still cooperate to get things done quickly but act as a check so the government in power doesn’t do anything shady.

Time will tell or not JM.
China built a hospital in 10 days. Clamped down hard on movement.
We, are being very reactive vs proactive.
The US. Cant seem to get anything done.

    tick tock
And the financial aftershock is weeks, months away. Before any of this, Alberta was in the toilet and some were talking technical recession ( two quarters of contraction).

That attempt by the Liberals is just astonishing.

Of course the money has to flow but the powers and timelines that they had initially proposed were/are just outrageous. Even die-hard Liberal supporters must see that.

Glad the Conservatives and Scheer held them accountable, spread the word on this ! Yesterday’s media (and especially the Bloc leader) were making them out to be the bad guys

The nerve of the liberals to try and pull this on the Canadian public during a pandemic. Thank God the Conservatives care enough to put a stop to that nonsense!
