    Default Italy's death rate

Here are some facts in regards to the large amount of deaths occurring in Italy at this time.
Not meant to minimize the horror they are enduring but does show who is most at risk of dying.

Since some people find that the stats provided by China were not credible than this may paint a better picture of what is happening worldwide.

Italy's death rate of 8.6 percent among those registered with infections is significantly higher than in most other countries.
Medical experts have mainly attributed this to Italy's older than average population.
The overwhelming majority of Italy's fatal cases involved elderly people with at least one pre-existing condition.
The National Health Institute (ISS) said Friday that the average age of Italy first 3,200 victims was 78.5.
Almost 49 percent of them had three or more pre-existing conditions.
Just 1.2 percent of those who died had no other ailments.

Yep almost 800 deaths in a day and they think it will continue into the coming days.

The army is transporting hundreds of bodies all over Italy to store them until a later day.

Sad days ahead for our Americans friends and us too for what's to come in Canada. Or all over the world..

This gives a pretty good explanation of where it comes from. No one seemed to have heeded the warning.

In most cases they (the virus) make the leap from animals to humans. When we landed in NA, we decimated indigenous populations too.

That’s why they are “new” and why we have no immunity. Our immune systems aren’t equipped to combat the virus.

    Italy/Spain.
Lots of high density housing. Lots of multigenerational living. Long before they got serious about precautions. How do the greet each other. By kissing both cheeks. We shake hands if that.

I’ve read that those with diabetes will be at high risk. Doesn’t take a Drs degree to know those with Asthma will be at risk. I suspect we here in NA will discover obesity ( not prevalent in the EU either) will be bad. Heavier people put more strain on their lungs and heart than fit people do. No different than vehicles tax their engines when over loaded. Italians have a longer life span, hence an “older” population for reasons.

40% of American confirms are 24-50yrs old
50% of those in ICU are under 65

New York State now has more confirmed than Italy

    Stats will change. I’m thinking

The Mediterranean diet does prolong life to some extent. To what quality? Well, the virus is taking care of that right now.

I am still wondering about the big city high rise condo buildings. Hundreds of people pushing the elevator buttons every day without sanitizing.
    So much for social distancing....
