Email from my vet
With the announcement of a State of Emergency in Ontario we have taken steps to further ensure the safety and health of our team and our clients so that we may continue to provide care to your pets at this time. We ask your help in achieving this.
If you are self-isolating, have traveled outside of Canada in the past 14 days, have been in direct contact with a traveler in the past 14 days, have been diagnosed or are awaiting test results for COVID-19 or are ill in any way please do not come to the hospital. An agent (friend or family member who has not traveled or is not ill) can bring your pet to the hospital for you. This will help our team to stay healthy and able to continue to provide care.
We have been disinfecting the hospital frequently in an attempt to reduce the risk of transmission here.
We have put the following steps in place to reduce your time in the hospital and your contact with other people while we see our patients:
~If you are required to come into the hospital observe the six-foot social distancing rule with team members or other clients. Wait until you are called to the reception desk and please stand back three feet from the desk. We will only allow maximum of two clients in our front offices at any time.
~When you call in for an appointment, we will take a history of your pet’s issue over the phone.
~When you come to the hospital the door will be locked. One of our team members will meet you outside to bring in the patient for their examination with the veterinarian into the hospital. You will be asked to remain in your car and await a phone call from the technician and veterinarian.
~We are not booking non-essential appointments at this time but will be re-evaluating that in April.
~To achieve social distancing only two people will be allowed in the waiting room at a time if necessary, to come inside at all.
~We prefer credit card payment at this time, that we can collect your number over the phone and process. If a credit card is not available, we do have tap on our Point of Sale terminal that would be the second preferred method for the safety of our staff.
~Curbside service: When ordering food, prescriptions or products credit card payment will be taken over the phone. When you arrive for your order call us and open your car trunk. We will bring the order out and place it in the trunk.
~On-line ordering for Prescription Diets, pet food, products, treats and toys is available at MyVetStore.ca Please let us know if you need help setting up an account, there is a home delivery option available.
~The company we purchase our products from is experiencing back orders especially in relation to pet food orders. This is due to people ordering extra food at this time. Please be patient and order your pet’s food earlier than needed to ensure we will have it when you need it. We reserve the right to restrict large quantity orders at this time until this situation resolves.
We will work together to find ways to help your pet. We are here to help you, your pet and our team stay healthy through this time.

NO CORONAVIRUS SCREENING: Pakistani arrivals to Canada surprised no one took their temperature

Mosq. Back in January and February both you and Trim21 said the virus was not a problem ( as late as Feb 26th for T21), just media hype. Even though DR's and countries overseas were warning us. Then by March 4th. you were saying it was our present governments fault as they were not doing enough. you went from fake news, , to not doing enough in one week. You are still complaining about what is being done ,and what has been done, even when you were one of the last to admit the world had a serious situation. Get off your high horse, your denial was part of the problem. This health crisis would not be any different , no matter which political party is in power. We will come through this better off than 98% of the world.
