Has too much time on their hands

Italy and Iran both have over 1,000 new cases each, several countries are going up in new cases several times more than all of Canada's cases in total. Total is over 105,000 now and over 3,500 deaths.... 3% .... keeps reminding me of the Spanish Flu numbers.... as I posted earlier in this thread it killed 30 million or 1.7% of the population... 7 billion people... and same % is 119,000,000.... fortunately other countries are taking it serious and Canada so far has an inconsequential amount with this incompetent gov't.
Canada is up to 60

The well here has run dry and he doesn't know whether to take a dump or wind his watch... It's a joke, he's just like that bird that buries his head in the sand and maybe it'll go away....

What would anyone expect him to do. Trudy has himself in between a rock and a hard place. He can't throw 240 million at the virus and hope it's goes on its happy little way. The virus isn't native to Canada so a buyout won't save him.
If he blocks off or slows down travel terminals in any way he will delay the city folk, the same city folk that he needs to vote him in.
Chance allowing thousands of infected people and keep the vote or do what should be done and lose it. Tough call....
Keep in mind the whining that might take place if you take away the right to move freely from people who have not committed a crime, sheesh, it would be like slapping more laws on law abiding gun owners. Hah!

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Thoughtful post Oaknut. Dammed if he does, dammed if he does't. Better than a president who blames it on the opposition.

Yep the vote is more important in the short term atleast and we have to remember what is letting a few Canadian's die to Justlied Trudeau... I mean he is good at lying and good at doing nothing that helps people. The old adage that to the Liberal the victim is the problem seems especially true of this guy.... remember this is the guy that gave his "truth" on budgets and $100B later and people still support him, he would take $25,000 from charities and school boards for speaking while also working as an MP and his admired gov't had no problem sending in tanks to drive over students.... In the end Justlied can just lie again, pretend it will solve itself or blame Harper. Putting in a few people with thermometers at the airport is just commons sense... but he has no sense.
I hear they will be repatriating the people on the cruise ship off the US to Bordon and those they promise to check before letting them on the plane atleast... must be someone with an intellect in charge there!

Mosq....Do you really believe that the Prime Minister , or any elected official for that matter make those decisions? Or do they leave it up to the health care professionals as they should? Quit trying to place blame where it is not warranted. If a conservative government were to have the exact same response to the crisis, you would say that it was appropriate under the circumstances. It is not what is being done, or not being done, but who is doing it that irks you. Find another bone to chew on, on a different thread.

We are talking about corona-virus on this thread. In a health crisis I want to be led by health care professionals .

He's the farthest thing from being a leader. He's the most useless PM who is doing nothing at all to protect Canadians from the virus.
