Coronavirus spreading quickly- impacts

With the Coronavirus now spreading rapidly outside of China, it’s really just a matter of time before it becomes more widespread in North America. Many if the recent cases in Washington State could not be traced to travel outside the state. One if the problems is that some individuals may not show symptoms for quite some time.
The number of cases in Italy, South Korea and Iran demonstrate just how quickly this can spread.

The other factor to consider is the financial impact the virus is having. Things such as:
- Travel industry and related economies. Many countries and organizations are severely limiting or cancelling travel to and from some countries.
-Manufacturing has been dramatically reduced in China and other countries.
-Shortages of commodities such as masks are resulting in much higher prices and lower availability.
- Consumer confidence is getting lower all the time and many financial institutions are forecasting some sort of recession based on the impacts of the virus.

I was looking into traveling to South America this year but I will be putting this on hold until the whole situation stabilizes.
