Garmin drive 51 ex
My GPS in the truck just crapped out so I had to pick up another one while here in Texas. I bought the new one, a garmin drive 51 from Walmart, got back to camp then found out it has maps only for the States and the Cayman Islands. I don't plan on driving to the Cayman Islands anytime soon but I would like to have the unit useable when I get back home to Ontario.
I don't have a PC here so need to know if I will be able to download Canadian maps onto this unit from the Garmin website when I get back.
Thanks guys......

I can't figure it out, sounds like you might be able to. Check this link:

I'd be very surprised if you can not. My garmin was bought in the states, I added canada maps on it without issue. Very easy with Garmin.

SD, did you do this through your computer or did you have to buy a disc?

I downloaded the garmin file transfer program from Garmin's site and I found maps online and used them. I honestly cant remember where I downloaded the maps(5+ years ago) and they might not be as good as the ones you buy, But it shows roads and bit of land detail like water so it does what I need. I only use my gps for hunting, not road use.
