I do not disagree with you, it looks a hell of a lot better on the OPP not doing anything than rounding up natives and locking them up, but they could also just hand out the judicial ruling and blame the Liberals too for the enforcement, make them look worse than they already do.

There is no easy way out of this thing.
The OPP likely learned a lot about government support from the Ipperwash incident.
They were pretty much hung out to dry ! Ken Dean was made a scapegoat, and paid the price. The inquiry that lasted three years, pretty much put the blame on the police. They refused to accept the evidence from the officers there. I had friends that were there. One said he heard automatic weapons fire every night for weeks before it blew up. But, that evidence was discounted....
You wonder why police are reluctant to take action?? Look no further than Ipperwash !

“One Canada” what a friggin joke. At the end of the day it don’t matter the party, not one of them will touch this with a ten foot pole.....
One common sense chief (name?) today said they have a right to set up blockades but they also have a right to compassion for all citizens of Canada. It’s time to remove barricades.
Don’t matter, IMO Trudeau is useless......

450 people are laid off from work until the protest ends.

The effects are starting to kick in.

For the "hope they freeze/Starve " crowd.

Food and gasoline are not going to be effected by the rail blockages.

99% of food( you know the stuff going to the store) goes by truck. The other 1% is bulk grains, and overseas export stuff.

Gasoline and diesel goes from the refinery to the bulk storage or gas station. Only the crude oil is on the rails.

Well we know at OKA they had AK-47s
    https://www.reddit.com/r/HistoryPorn...ricade_during/

and looking at the murders in Canada there have been atleast 2 with automatic firearms each year.

The police would be justified to take action BUT wisdom shows in that they want orders from the government first! Remember the current gov't is the vets ask too much, pay terrorists though and interfere with police investigations etc. who in their right mind would trust their word.... wait for orders is the right choice for them!

Oh I know, but it is hard to say what the police are good for then. Are they only good for going after those who are not criminals? That and traffic stops?

It sounds like a joke but it feels more like reality, the courts say it is illegal but if they do anything they will be condemed so they sit back, what use are the courts then.

Just look at the media and the politicians....we have the Green party saying civil disobedience is good and justified etc. No the police are justified in not taking actions that could put their lives in danger (or their careers etc.).... atleast until the politicians order it.... the right thing and the wise thing unfortunately don't work here with the Libs in power!

Our fake PM has broke ethics rules 3 times now, the law atleast twice and the Charter of rights and freedoms looks like Swiss cheese.... the laws and courts should be blind to privilege race and sex but Justlied "Quebecers are better"/Chinese dictatorship Trudeau and the Libs are in power.... make them give the orders clear and openly is the only wise choice for them in this position.

I wonder if they put the firearms bans into effect what they would say about civil disobedience in that case though... .... ... makes you wonder...are laws only for when it is convenient for politicians but when they want to breaking the law is good?

I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.
