Pretty easy solution, cut off all subsidies until they pull the plug on the blockades....

Just a couple of questions I'd like answered. When did treaty lands become "sovereign" FN land? The last I looked, that "sovereign" land was still within Canada making the occupiers of the land Canadian citizens subject to the same laws as everyone else. Since when did Police services need "orders" from the federal government to enforce the law? Isn't that their mandate? Why are they NOT doing their jobs? That's dereliction of duty and they should all be charged under Police Services Acts. If it was any other citizen, they would have been arrested and jailed in a heartbeat. This is ridiculous where the tail wags the dog and gets away with it. Tough love is way overdue with this issue.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

You are absolutely correct! There lots of people out there that would take over the positions of the cops that are refusing to do their job.
We all know there are different laws for different backgrounds in Canada. Take Fishermccanns post about Dudley George for instance. Dudley George was breaking the law and died, he gets an RIP but in fishers post about Oka there was no mention of RIP for Marcel Lemay, a cop who was gunned down during the standoff.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

So your condoning inaction? Aka Caledonia?
Past PMs have jack squat to do with this. This isn’t a cause and effect type debate. It’s about today, it’s about two sets of rules. It’s about the huge impact on the economy, about JT ignoring the west. It’s about JT being to busy trying to a stupid seat, instead of taking care of Canada.
It’s about people that can’t afford getting screwed yet again, not everyone works in ps. It’s about a pm who has spewed platitudes trying to please everyone and now can’t function.....without pissing off one of his vote bases, be they eco terrorist, FNs, or progressives in the gta, who rarely if ever have to deal without the fallout of their choices
It’s not about Mulroney, that’s for damn sure.

Marcel Lemay was in a gunfight. Dudley George was carrying a stick. The only reason I mentioned Mulroney was that some where saying why doesn't our Prime Minister do something ( head in the sand etc.). I was pointing out that Mulroney did nothing for 78 days. Is that okay then because he was a conservative and it is not okay now because we have a Liberal government? Or are you saying all governments have bungled the native file? Seems to me you are laying the problems at the Liberal governments feet.

Alot has changed in the past 28 years since he was PM.
What was good then is horrible or wrong today.

Pointing out that it is not a Liberal problem, as some on here are making out. Many Conservative governments have had a chance to fix it and have failed, just as the Liberals have.
