    Yep that's old news lol.

I'm sure they are still paying for many buildings that have been untouched since legalization.

Should have been sold at the liquor store, or at the agent if in the boonies. Don't want pot sold in your town then you lose your liquor store.

It would be difficult to sell at the lcbo , everything is locked up behind the counter. That would mean every store would have to be remodeled to fit in the product to sell. Im sure it could be like some beer stores where you order then it comes out from the back. But again they would need the space to add to walls to secure and store the cannabis. It's just not simply on the shelves and take to the counter.

Keeping it's own store is probably a good idea. The way Ontario did the first bunch of stores was just wrong. Only the wealthy had the opportunity to try and open a store.

Overpriced products get purchased from alternative sources.

Ever been to a pot store? They have it locked up in the back, just like in the old days of the LCBO when you put an X beside the bottle you wanted on a piece of paper, and they went to the back room to get it. There are no self serve pot shops. Take out one section of crap wine in the LCBO and you would have room. Ford thinks private business can do everything better- cheaper, which has been proven over and over again ,to be wrong. You could have entered the lottery for a pot store licence for 45 bucks, then sell the winning ticket for millions as someone did.

It did help lower the prices on the street. My 'guy', used to charge 55 a quarter now down to 45. Competition for your money is a wonderful thing.
