A sad one in Hamilton
Here’s a terrible end to a sad story, Admittedly, I don’t know anything but what is written in the article, it just seems like a guy who helped someone didn’t get any justice in the end.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamil...dict-1.5375591
and here’s that part that irks me, a young guy with a lengthy criminal record - not his fault though because his race is over-represented in the justice system. I’ve taken to referring to it as the LEGAL system, seems to be less and less justice all the time.
King has a lengthy criminal record, including five convictions for assault, including assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. Justice Andrew Goodman ruled to exclude the assault convictions from what the jury heard.
King is Indigenous, Goodman said, and Indigenous people are overrepresented in the criminal justice system. King is also a former foster child whose family history includes alcoholism and abuse.

That entire case just makes you throw up in your mouth a little. There's just so much wrong on so many levels.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

That is exactly that .
. If it was in any way self defense it would go to a manslaughter it just the way it works. There are probably a dozen ways to have second degree dropped to manslaughter.
If you really want to hear the kicker ,if they dont give a max sentence for his previous record .
He will most likely be walking the streets again by 2024.

IN-justice system here in Kanada. From all of of his previous charges, the dirtball should have been cooling his hind end in a cell. Instead, he is walking the streets, dealing drugs, beating up old people and carrying a handgun - a prohibited one at that.

Yes it sure does. He should be doing 10 years just for possession of a loaded prohib gun, not to mention murder. Hopefully that POS gets what he deserves by street justice.

They also still receive dead time and only gets the minimum sentences.
Wacked .
No wonder racism will never stop. Treat them like gold . The blacks were slaves we dragged them overseas by chains and put them to work. We should now just give them all the guns they want because the white people forced them into slavery . Let them shoot who they want and let it be.?? They are just that black African American not our enemy. They are our friends they live in the same country we do .
Maybe they should fix the problem??. As far as I'm concerned I'm just a big peice off sh to government. I am Canadian but live separately from my fellow Canadians . ? We pay forward and receive less from our fellow Canadians. . ?? Makes no sense
This guy will be out in less than 2 years 2021 . We would be doing the same time just for gun on the st
The Government really needs to wake up a bit.
..They do whatever they want.
...They get less time in jail then the rest in Ontario.
....They pay no taxes
....They own the tobacco industry illegally
....Now the own cannabis industry illegally
....They dont pay for crap government just gives them everything
.... They shoot what they want until they see fit
... They take as many fish as they want
.. Fish when there are closed seasons.
...walk all over the government
... blame us for all that's been done to them
And the list goes on and on and on .
Solution? Yes we are all Canadians want to be treated the same act as one . Be apart of Canada as one. They separate their lives from ours fix it ,we are one nation that is filled other cultures. We are not racist they are as we should all be as one.
Keep giving them what they want that will never fix the problem. Once they realize this they will be much better off.
Well all have issues not just them. It is not a Canadian government and an indigenous government we are one..

The world doesn't work like that but to them it's ok. ??
Seems we are different and divided with our government. Yet we are 1 not 2 governments .
Indigenous and Canada are separated yet live under the same government's
Sorry for the ranting
I truly like the people I am not racist we are the same Canadian citizens and all should be treated the same .
White, black, Asian ,and indigenous.
Not divided under the same government
