Marriages end for tons of reasons JoePa, just like many things in life that fizzle out. If you don't feel man enough for the women out there, take test, eat more and hit the gym.

Nice try everyone - I give you all credit for trying - but you miss the real reason - a lot of women today have forgotten what their role in a marriage should be - a man and a woman bring different things to a marriage - because they are different - physically and emotionally - so many women today have bought into the women's lib crap that they think they need to act like a man - and that's where the trouble starts - a man wants his wife to be a lady - with female characteristics - not a weight lifter or linebacker - add some selfishness and next thing the women wants out of the marriage - you can't tell me that 80% of the husbands are mistreating their wives - most likely the women are mistreating their husbands

When I was growing up you could pick out a women walking down the street by the way she walked and carried herself - you can't do that today -

Guess what Joe! when you were off fighting in the war, women, yes women were building tanks, airplanes bombs and the ammunition you were using, plus going back home to look after the kids and normal household duties, they were they backbone .
Where would you have been without these women? they were even flying planes across the ocean to support the war effort.
Also Joe! women now do everything from running large corporations to welding pipelines and being mechanics, being design engineers and many other so called manly jobs plus nursing , doctors and they are very good at it.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha, I was waiting for you to come back and say that the woman's place is in front of the stove and in the bedroom, ha ha ha ha, glad my mother worked in high tech and brought home the first computer I was able to rebuild and start my knowledge of computers and ultimately lead to my job now.

I know I will take some flak for this statement but here goes anyway:
A man sees a woman and thinks to himself I love you and want to spend my life with you.
A women sees a man and thinks to herself I think I can change you to someone I will love.
Not a blanket covering all situations but also not completely untrue.

I do believe nowadays we face two key issues. (1) there has been lots of abuse in the household (not necessarily physical), and women are standing up to this. However, (2) I do also see a growing contingent that expect life to be perfect and they are to weak to handle challenges, and give up on the first sign of any form of pressure ... you can thank Hollywood for that.

I suspect you are looking at a very small subset of circumstances and applying your view generally to a very wide range of circumstances. Make no mistake, women have an important role to play in the house, in the economy, in politics, in engineering, in medical practice ... the list goes on.

If we REALLY want to discuss what's right ... a man should cherish his wife, and support her so that she may prosper. A woman should cherish her husband, and support him so he may prosper. Together they should seek counsel from one another, discuss and plan to accomplish the right things in life, such that their unified purpose is fulfilled.

Unfortunately, what you wrote is easily interpreted as that stereotypical situation where a man is forcing his wife to do chores in the house ... and he calls all the shots. That is not how marriage is designed.

Not all women eat like a bird.

But if they want true equality just make both genders register for selective Service. Don't matter what you are. Same barracks, same training stanard, same ways to die.

IDF has some of the toughest female combat troops in the World. But in or "out" of uniform they will never let you forget your dealing with a lady..

You are a very confused man!, nowhere is there anything said by anyone that she wants to be his equal. Your point has absolutely NOT BEEN PROVEN!

Joe, you had better go back to working on cars, make that old cars as the new ones with all the complicated electronics you would have to ask a woman mechanic how to fix them , there are plenty of women mechanics that would make you look very foolish with all their knowledge of cars, which would only confuse you more than you are now.
