    Nice to see open water again. Ice is out and gone off of Lake Scugog.... Finally!!!

    Still about 2 ft of ice on our lake north of Sudbury. It better be gone by 3rd Saturday of May.

    That will be hard to say . If it stays warm it will be gone but if may is cooler than normal it might be ice depending on the lake.

    I fished larder last year on the opener and there was lots of ice out there . Almost got trapped by some floating ice that pushed up near the ramp.

    Of course the ice is gone here; falling through the ice is one less thing to worry about when you are running dogs. Glad to see it gone.
