Escort brand propane lantern mantel?
I was given an Escort brand propane lantern still in the box in mint.
I took it home and in the process knocked it over breaking the ash mantel. I know Canadian Tires used to carry this brand but not mine. The mantel ties on the bottom and not the top like a coleman. I bought a bag of coleman mantles and they dont work. Anyone have an idea where I can purchase these mantels?
Thanks

Is there a store any where near you that caters to the Mennonite Community as they still use propane lanterns .
Or try this ;ESCORT SINGLE MANTLE BACKPACKER PROPANE LANTERN ...

I got shafted on an Escort brand tent once. Bottom seam was up side down so any rain water would run down the side of the tent to collect at the bottom seam. But the bottom seam was a pocket which held the water until it seeped into the tent. Would never touch that brand again.

Jaycee - Thanks for the feedback. I don't have any Mennonite stores in my area. I did check out the Ebay ad you sent and went to Canadian Tire to purchase those Coleman Bayonet mantels and they dont work either. I then noticed after if you zoom in on the pic on Ebay, his mantel is all messed up in the ad - lol. Thanks anyway.
Woodsman I hear you but it was a gift so I would like to get it up and running.
Cheers,

Did you try a propane business that services, repairs and sells propane fixtures like lights, stoves and fridges?

You may want to try a Coleman tie-on mantle

Ok lads I went to the local propane dealer and he had no idea. I did some more research online and I believe it takes the Rosetta type mantel Coleman No 51.
The lantern gas supply post enters the bottom of the mantel and a portion extends outside at the top to anchor the mantel. My local Canadian Tire had some in stock so I tried them tonight and they works well, .
