I never did get it on my phone? I live up in the boonies, everything is perfect up here. Don't need warnings?

I'm guessing that my phone is one of the dumb ones. Didn't get a thing on it, but did hear it on the radio while driving...

Went out for a late lunch with a buddy, the alarms were going off on most every ones, phones, mine did not, I guess I should have left it turned on ??.
I hate the darn thing making noises when I, eating and trying to talk with my friend over and above all the noise in a restaurant with people all most yelling to be heard and cell phones ringing and people talking into them very loud.

In order to receive the alerts, you have to be connected to a LTE (4G) network. So if you are in a rural area, where 3G signals are the norm, or have a phone that only operates on the 3G network, you won't get the alerts.
