Agreed, but look around....how many litres of water are polluted to make a ton of paper ? I read it on a restaurant washroom blow dryer last week but have forgotten the figure !

The water is still here on earth or in the atmosphere in some form. It doesn't just disappear never to be found again.
Beer does look like the best use for a gallon of water to me though by far.
