Good point. At worse it's 7 more years if he's reelected to a second term. He could Lose control in the mid term elections. At the end of the day we should be doing everything we could to diversify our economy and reduce dependence on the US. Having all your eggs in the same basket is very dangerous.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

And take the kiddy gloves off.
Do we, or the feds think Trump isn’t playing for keeps?
We have leverage if we choose to use it. Or we find other ways to grow spines.

Another interesting look at the tariffs/timelines/useless Libs and how we are going to get screwed because of them....
https://www.facebook.com/brianlilley...3349804732066/
Seems they ignored the real reason for the steel tariff for over a year.... Justin Trudeau protecting China that would make sense too. So..including the other guy that was using quotes too, we seem to have:
1) April 2017 - warnings from US about trans-shipping Chinese steel
2) Trump trying to get US automakers to move jobs back.
3) Justin Trudeau comes back from vacation , ignores visiting royal, tell steel workers don't worry, be happy
4) Nothing happens in Canada on Steel until May 2018
5) Tariffs on steel from Canada May 2018
6) Canada starts to think about doing something since
7) Canada doesn't address the issue but puts tariffs on US stuff..
8).... start of a trade war?

The one item that ol’ Tommy Mulcair and I agreed on. WHY don’t we invest in pipelines to our own refineries ?
Energy East was a great idea, and Denis Coderre should have been told to shut up and eat it. But oh yes, again we pander to Quebec.m
We don’t have the stones to continue building OUR country it seems.

There are good arguements against building our own refineries . Have always been good arguements, and perhaps, that’s why we haven’t... Times change, and everything whether it’s the “refinery” debate, supply management, tax revenue/how much is too much, government overhead, or Pensions (sounded good in the 1960s).....can be revisited, weighed against the current and future realities.
There’s a time and place for everything..

Based on the Tariffs and Trade Barriers long placed on the U.S. and it great companies and workers by the European Union, if these Tariffs and Barriers are not soon broken down and removed, we will be placing a 20% Tariff on all of their cars coming into the U.S. Build them here!

They ignored the problem for a year, protecting Chinese steel etc. traveling through Canada and now to "punish" the US the Libranoes want Canadian's to pay more for chocolate, boats, coffee....
https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/tar...rtax-1.4723277
"which included specific types of gherkins, prepared meals, pizza, chocolate, condiments, toiletries, beer kegs, whiskies, various household items, and motorboats."
Punishing the poor and middle for the "ideals" of the incompetents .... that's the Liberal way!

This ought to send the leftatics and media machine into a foaming raging rant!
Harper: PM resisting new NAFTA deal to score partisan advantage
https://www.ctvnews.ca/harper-pm-res...tage-1.4020749
Earlier this month, former prime minister Stephen Harper made a damning allegation about the Trudeau government’s NAFTA negotiations: They are resisting making a deal to score partisan advantage by standing up to an unpopular U.S. president.
"The reality is that the Government of Canada believes today that is it doing very well, the fight with Trump is good for it politically, it is winning," Harper says in an audio recording obtained by CTV News.
"So if it can take that fight and continue it, and more importantly paint conservatives as linked to Donald Trump, this is great for them. And so right now that is the strategy they are on," Harper said in the recording of his remarks at a private luncheon hosted by the Australia-Canada Economic Leadership Forum in Montreal on July 11.
Speak the truth and the left will go nuts!

Justin is still at it.... the Liberal media won't report the fact that Justin didn't come to the call when Trump called him on Monday.... the day they signed the deal with Mexico.... the interviewer says the obvious that they Liberals are actually trying to sabotage the deal. Trump brought up automotive tarrifs again..... he got the Mexican's to agree to higher wages for their workers.... tariffs on Canada ... Mexican jobs might not go but it looks like there go more jobs to the US from Canada.
