I don't remember ever having to water my garden as often. Only July 10 and I'm getting tired of watering already.

Just a matter of time: Other areas with bans include Huron County, Brockton, South Bruce, North Bruce Peninsula. Owen Sound, Grey Highlands, West Grey, Hanover, Georgian Bluffs and now all of Perth County. Most of Muskoka is under a ban too.

All kinds of grass fires today along the eastern section of the 401. Total fire bans throughout the Bruce now.

Only benefit. Zero mosquitoes.
I spent last weekend near Hope Bay never saw a single mosquito day or night including hiking in deep woods.

We are having an excellent summer inthe North West.
Storm pass through every 2-4 days for the last two months and temperature are hot.
Garden is growing better than any time in the last 20 years.
Bush tomatoes as high as my chest.
Huge loose leaf lettuce heads, garlic and early onions.
Massive Mushroom harvest-- Porcini, Chanterelles, Leccinums and even a Lobster Mushroom today.
Lots of mosquitoes but almost no tics due to long deep cold winter with very little snow.

just coming back from some from work at the Nugold Rainy River mine and that's exactly what i observed. Plus saw a ton of deer.
I remember the cold as well. Was up doing service work for a week in January and it was -42 on the dash thermometer one morning.
