Anthony Bourdain dead at 61
I am not sure how many of you will know this name but he traveled all around the world essentially as a journalist chef. He spoke to the stupidity of vegetarianism and how much of an insult it is to most poor cultures in the world and hated food waste to the point of eating sweet breads as a staple.
If you are unfamiliar with his show it was called Parts Unknown and broke a number of barriers to be able to speak to real people on the guise of a foodie show.
They say he committed suicide, he spoke a lot about the internal battles in his life, I guess talking about it was not enough.

I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

So sad...I loved that show and yes many times in his travels he mentioned the demons he was dealing with. R.I.P. Anthony...you will be missed.

He said a few times where was not a drug that he had not tried. You know that people do not take drugs to cause problems they take drugs to escape them, some things you just cannot run away from

I only saw small bits of his show.
A sad event, and sadder because great minds do not exist without some amount of insanity. "NORMAL" social behaviour does not allow for, people that struggle with demons.
The older I get, the more I understand the Joker.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

So true,Fox. Everyone should think about their friends and family who may be dealing with some form of mental illness, especially, depression in it's several different forms. It's long past the time for society to take a long hard look and open dialog regarding this issue. RIP,Mr.Bourdain.

So sad and so true. I 've had bipolar disorder for 30 years and I know how low one can get. Thanks for encouraging more dialogue Trimmer.
