2213 Bias Fed Issue #48 - Federal Pharmacare

The Socialist (perhaps Communist - thinking about Trudeau) gov't is at it again .... do you want the gov't to run the medications .... always generics or gov't prefered not the name brand? delays in getting prescriptions? what is covered? access to what is not approved or name brands? how many can you get at a time (30days? 90days?).... all in an aging population?

Ontario and Quebec already have plans for low income individuals .... so what do you think, do you want the Federal Government running a ... pharmacare program? I haven't had coverage for years and have to pay drug and dental myself but .... how much will it cost us, who? income level? what is covered * and what about flexibility on new drugs/alternatives??? I have worked in the industry and known people that went out of country to get medications not approved in Canada but approved in the US and EU... especially in Ontario. Who decides and how?

    * Note quote below says WHAT QUEBEC COVERS and the facts on Quebec coverage.

Universal pharmacare would save Canadians $4.2B a year, parliamentary budget officer says

New estimate of the cost to the federal government for a universal drug program points to overall savings

Establishing a universal program for prescription medications would amount to about $4.2 billion in savings annually in Canada, the parliamentary budget officer says in a new report.

The report, requested by the House of Commons standing committee on health, was released Thursday

It may be a good idea actually BUT ..... do you trust the Liberals? Bureaucrats? Based on Ontario or Quebec? (been to a doctor office lately and seen the notices of what isn't covered after recent changes?)
They are taxing everything they can and increasing taxes and now they want to save Canadian's money .... things that make you go Hmmmmm.
