A Horriable Way To Die - Part 2

I promised that I would let you know how the murder trial of Big Bertha turned out - after 3 weeks deliberating and racking up a $20,396.36 (American) food bill the jury came back with a surprise verdict - it even woke up the judge - suicide - yep - suicide - the jury felt that Dinky knew that Big Bertha would get real mad if she caught him cheating on her and he knew that she had a mean temper and would not take it laying down - but he did it anyway - he basically killed himself - Big Bertha went free

The boys down at Lucky Eddie's had a hard time digesting the verdict but they came to grips with it - they miss Dinky - he always sat on the same bar stool - the third one from the door - they wrapped a black ribbon around that stool - kinda like a memorial - and out of respect no one sits there - not any of the regulars anyway -

This one day a black guy came into the bar and parked his butt on the memorial stool and ordered a beer - Eddie tried to tell him that he shouldn't sit there - the black guy got real mad - drank the beer and left without paying for it and mumbled something about suing the place big time - I think Eddie is a little worried -

In the meantime Big Bertha has taken up with another fella - this time with a heavy like herself - the guy weights about as much as she does - when they get into their van the whole front drops way down - when they drive they must feel like they are going down hill all the time - I think the van does too because they are getting a lot better gas mileage

In the meantime things are getting by to normal in our town - the Big Bertha murder trial was the biggest thing that happened in these parts - yep - Dinky never knew what hit him - he died with his boots on -

Just a side note - they say that the judge who presided over the trial is back to drinking heavy again - he was on the wagon for awhile - meanwhile all is quiet on the southern front
