I don't know if it came up but I would suggest contacting someone at one of the Canadian Firearms associations and see if they can provide some guidance on how to proceed. They might not have a clue .... or they might have seen it before or they might even get behind you if it looks like something they are concerned with. Might be a waste of time or they might have dealt with this several times already ?????

If ive dealt with them 12 times on things over the years I've found them useless on 20. I'd actually take the 80 g hit over the frustration of their non existance
