A lot depends on weither it is a packed trail or virgin snow. We had rain as well and we lost some depth, but the result is 18" of corn snow under a thin crust anywhere that it was not packed. Won't support a sled but too deep for a bike unless you have tracks.
Places where it was packed it turns soft on warm days and bikes that travel the crust in the morning sink on the way out..

Thanks for that! We packed a trail with sleds about two weeks ago so that should help.
Might just bring both sled and atv (perks of a double trailer). Ride atv till that gets stuck then switch to sled then when it gets stuck start drinkin beer

Any more info on the area? I see the snowmobile trail is closed but I might head up to the camp tomorrow. Any snow for my little Elan to get around?

Still about 2feet in the bush that is rock hard with the rain few weeks ago and -20 the last few days.
Made 3 stands with the foxpro. Called in two fishers and I think one wolf. Both fishers were smart and headed downwind while coming in. Didn't get a picture as they didn't stay long. Cut a fresh wolf track after sitting for a new hour calling about 400 yards downwind of were I was calling from in the swamp I couldn't see.
Seen 8 deer and 2 moose. All looked in good shape

Spent an hour digging out 100' of trail to get to some wood. The snow is still 20" deep but it is losing its moisture so it tends to crumble. Very little support or traction for the tractor, just like spring corn snow....
An Elan would probably go anywhere on it.
Temperature might get above freezing by Friday.....

Yes I just about buried my truck as I thought the snow was hard but soon as it broke it was like sugar under neath. The elan ran great and covered a lot of miles.
