Default Paperwork Process to Run in Prov Election

Well Monday I filed the paperwork with Public Service Commission to run in the next Provincial election in June of 2018. My riding will be 052 - Nepean Carleton. Since I am a lowly government worker, I expect it not to be opposed or denied. Interesting fact, I have to go on Leave Without Pay (LWOP) once the WRIT is dropped to avoid any perception of conflict of interest. Started saving a month ago to replace my paycheck for the 6 weeks.

I will be running as a Libertarian Candidate against Lisa McLeod and she is aware. Once I have received my permission I will be declared as the candidate for my riding as the last one is unable to run. However, he has offered his support and Campaign Team to help out.

On Tuesday this week LP held a protest on Parliament Hill and I got to interview 3 of the leadership contenders for Cons, Trost, Bernier and Lietch. I was also interviewed by Brian Lilley and Global news as well. Brian Lilley and I had a great conversation and spent the better part of 10 Minutes trying to convince Maxime to join the LP.

Unfortunately, the trump protest stole the sound bites that night. I find it quite astounding that 80 people showed for the Carbon Tax Protest a tax that hurts every Canadian, yet 2 blocks down the street over 500 showed at US Embassy to protest trump. Just boggles the mind

A few pictures from the day.

Good for you Mark. I like what is in the Libertarian platform and I hope it catches on and can pick up some seats as Ottawa needs a shakeup.

Thanks all..I seriously think you should have a look at the Party, we have a lot of hunters and land owners on here. We intend to give full ownership and property rights to your land. This way you own and control it, not the government. Secondly, from the National Platform we will repel Section 91,92 of the Firearms Arm Act to ensure owning a firearm is right not a privilege. All the same qualification and checks will be in place still..but, all the provisions that restrict your rights will be abolished.

These two principles are what led me to this Party, the rest of policy took time to digest and understand what it meant. Now, I am sold on returning rights and freedoms to Canadians, reducing taxes, reducing government and doing government different. That means people have power over the government, by inherent rights, not power over the people by government controlling your rights..as it is now.

That my friends is true freedom...not what the Charter states..
