Ok. 100 individual taxpayers in a small town. They send their taxes to Ottawa. They pooled together do not pay enough taxes to provide for services needed. 5 million taxpayers in the GTA. They send their tax money collectively to Ottawa. That money is used to buy the necessary things in that small town they could otherwise not afford. So the taxes from people in the GTA supported that small towns services.. Urban Ontario , subsidizes rural Ontario. It's a numbers game.

So your whole issue with that is that you think the idea of more immigration is good.... while unemployment soars, welfare soars, refugees are kept in hotels but the poor and vets etc. sleep on the streets because the shelters are full, those trying to help refugees can't because there are too many... where is you "empathy" for those left behind, those that are here and just warehoused in hotels and shelters because they can't get help... it will be a decade before they can live on their own at this rate and the idiots in Ottawa want to dump another 1,200,000 into the system. Also am I to imply that owning nothing, no privacy, meat only on special occasions and no free press are OK to you then?

Let's see... vets ask too much, the woman that couldn't pay her electric bill... essentially suck it up, the reserves without clean water just boil it... while our "elite" PM silly socks Trudeau spent about 1/4 last year on days off, spent billions but about 1/2 the projects are untracked according to PMO, created the infrastructure bank that spent $35,000,000,000 in 3 years but has yet to finish a project... all while personal debt and unemployment soar.... and the "government" takes the "opportunity" to ban thousands of rifles and shotguns from .22 up, takes the opportunity to do huge coverups by destroying years of records, creates an economic disaster for Canada in debt, business closures and then raises the carbon taxes while trying to tell people what to do in every part of their lives including family get togethers (which if you have them and they catch you it is huge tickets).... control of personal property, control of the media, control of travel and the economy ... seems like they are taking the "chance" to make changes.

As for the concept I am "out of touch with" ... nope... I see it, and when you open your eyes you see boats full of mostly young men and what can only be called a social disaster for the countries they are allowed into. I just see it for what it is and am disgusted with the lies, coverups, waste and a gov't that considers a pandemic an "opportunity" and their "chance" to seize power and impose changes!

The tech monopolies have been tracking and have enough information to be ridiculous, I use a VPN, ad blockers and even then if I was to google "pink socks" a couple times I would likely get ads for pink socks for weeks. More and more pages won't let you use them unless you allow the location or cookies or both and although much of the information is aggregated alot of personal information retained. Why else would companies like Twitter, Facebook and Google openly side with the Democratic platform. Canada is no different in that the police or intelligence can easily gain access.

This country was built by immigrants, that is a fact, and immigration is essential to our future success, as we grow. ALL of our economical growth must be managed by immigrants ... our current employment base can only sustain current economy and in fact is struggling to keep up with the rapid loss of labor to retirement (of baby boomers) ... so immigration in my mind, is a must.

HOWEVER ... there's a right way to do it, and a wrong way ... hand outs seems to be the wrong way ... it's not how it was done when our fore-fathers came here ... they got their ticket to the country, but then had to WORK to put food on the table ... no hand outs.

By saying I will pray for you ... I am not actually imposing my beliefs onto you. By telling me I cannot pray for you ... that is imposing your beliefs onto me ... you are literally telling me I cannot do something I believe in.
