Edmonton Animals shelters are reporting the lowest Stray cat population numbers in the last decade....
My urban friends with coyote issues have acquired top quality sling shots and report they are very effective in chasing them off.
Probably be more effective to educate the city dwellers about leaving cat and dog food outside,leaving garbage at the curbside with eat's in it over an extended time,blah,blah.

Need to build a coyote catapult like people have for squirrels. If ya don't know what I'm talking about, You tube it.
I know a guy that fires his shotgun into the bush before letting his dog out because he's had so many close calls with coyotes trying to steal his little mutt. He figures the porch light was like a dinner bell to them as he would always turn the light on before opening the patio door...he says the shotgun works....I said until they hear the boom and associate that with letting the dog outside....the look on his face was priceless lol
