Just that simple. Curious as to opinions as to allowable dating age difference. Normally I don't like keyboard spine but I think it maybe useful for getting truthful answers to this. We all expect a 32 yr old doesn't date a 12 yr old girl. My question is. Does that 20 not being acceptable stay as their 80 and 60. Should there be less spread no matter the age? Or is any spread fine long as there's love. Really curious. Never heard this addressed
IMHO if it's the early years there may be some bad juju there, pedofilia, if it's older age, maybe a bit of gold digging going on. But, there have been successful pairing on both ends.
Why I'm asking is I'm curious. I used to buy older cars for literally nothing, put a few hundred into them. Wonderful for years, but they couldn't get squat for it on trade merely based on a callandar. Lets look at me for example (No I'm not dating) BUT at near 58 I ran the spartan few yrs back and did quite smartly against 30 yr olds. Beat about half actually. So IF I were to date and I knew a 40 yr old who was the opposite as in she was older in body, mind etc than her years what would be the deal. My uncle is having quite a struggle because of people stereotyping. But he's a 65 that goes like 40. She's a 47 hr old that goes like a 60 yr. I think it's totally on them. Maybe it's different now a days but I dont see it as common?
My grand father was 68 when he remarried to a 38 year old woman. He had a son with her when he was 71. That was his 12th child. I'm older than my step uncle by 5 years.

Let me add my thoughts on this - because I've seen a heck of a lot couples go through life - the closer in age they are the better - one of my sister-in-laws married a guy 12 years older then her - at one point people thought he was her father

One of the joys of having a spouse much,much younger is that there'll be someone to feed you pablum and wipe the drool off your chin when you're tied in a wheel chair with a bed sheet. Changing adult diapers might be a bit of a drag,though.:scream:

Nice try everyone - I give you all credit for trying - but you miss the real reason - a lot of women today have forgotten what their role in a marriage should be - a man and a woman bring different things to a marriage - because they are different - physically and emotionally - so many women today have bought into the women's lib crap that they think they need to act like a man - and that's where the trouble starts - a man wants his wife to be a lady - with female characteristics - not a weight lifter or linebacker - add some selfishness and next thing the women wants out of the marriage - you can't tell me that 80% of the husbands are mistreating their wives - most likely the women are mistreating their husbands
When I was growing up you could pick out a women walking down the street by the way she walked and carried herself - you can't do that today -

I do believe nowadays we face two key issues. (1) there has been lots of abuse in the household (not necessarily physical), and women are standing up to this. However, (2) I do also see a growing contingent that expect life to be perfect and they are to weak to handle challenges, and give up on the first sign of any form of pressure ... you can thank Hollywood for that.
