I bought this tree about 10 years ago... It flowers white in late spring. It grew to about 14'.... Looking to buy another but just can't remember the name.

Some might be able to speculate but trying to I.D. that tree with that photo is a bit like trying to identifying a vehicle that someone says is blue. A photo of the leaf(s) would be more helpful. The bark and branches also hold clues. Trees native to Ontario are fairly easy to id but ornamental ones from garden centres are tougher for me at least.
Looks like a Lilac. ?
Take a branch into your good local garden centre. They should be able to identify it for you
looks like a " tree form Persian lilac ".
Agreed that it looks like a lilac, but don't they flower in August? The scent is fairly distinct as well.
Do the flowers look like a ice cream cone

Lilac
Thanks for the help... I think it is a common white lilac tree. I will get the nursery to confirm.
Leaves look like a lilac.
But....
They flower in spring/May and that tree is definitely big enough to flower if it was a true Lilac.
For Tree Identification the book: Trees in Canada by John Laird Farrar is a really excellent and easy to use resource.
Definitely a lilac, they come in different shades of pink/purple and white.
I have 2 lilacs and they have both already blossomed out weeks ago. Also the trunk on your tree looks nothing like mine. Mine have many branches shooting out from ground level. They are basically as wide as they are high. Kills the grass from lack of sun and rain. Yours doesn't seem to have that? Also the blooms are extremely aromatic.
Looks like a lilac like everyone else has said
Thanks for all the help... it is a lilac...blooms with white flowers in late spring... Green leaves throughout the summer...
