You would think the rise of social media and the internet, and with it our ability to better communicate to broadcast wrong doings like this, would help curb corruption in government.
... it seems to be going the other way around. It's like they realize they can get away with it, so why not just keep doing it, and then some!
Social media is full of people who have short attention spans and function on short imbecilic quotes and selfies & snapchats. This is what Trudough ( and Obama before him ) understood and mastered. Voters today have never had better access to facts and are more uninformed and disconnected than ever.
I think the power of Social media has not kicked in fully. Give it a few more years.
People I know often quote stuff they find on there. When in the past they didn't talk about any politics.
Maybe they do not care about politics in any way. Do not worry about politics at all, and you will have less stress and likely live a longer more enjoyable life. Worry your life away then die, what a waste of the little time you have to live. Many people could not tell you their Member of Parliament do they lead a less enjoyable life ,I think not. Almost 50% do not care enough to vote, think that they worry about it? Not a chance...and life goes on....

If you want to really make changes, put your money where you mouth is , and run for public office, and lets see how many others agree with you. Otherwise who gives a rats about another's opinion about politics because that is all it is ,opinion. Bunch of guys around a water cooler who think their insight is invaluable to others...... LOL.

The very definition of Apathy, and frankly it's more than fair to say one of the reasons the Provincial Liberals have gotten away with so much, and in the process trashed the province and are gutting people now, especially those who aren't bosom buddies in the Unions.
If we and more people did as you say, we'd never know about 80 million in kickbacks to your friends, wouldn't care about them buying election wins and far more.
There are all kinds of ways to bring about change. The surest way not to, is do what you want/suggest and stick heads in the sand and say nothing.

Actually we are discussing FACTS about EVENTS and their consequences referencing prior history. Opinions are quite different.
Facts seem to be unrecognizable and quite foreign to the left leaning enlightened ones.
The CBC is biased.... the OPP are not doing their job.... please show me the facts and only the facts that prove these things claimed. Not an opinion, but facts, proven with accredited science. Mosq is the king of cut and paste he should be all over this.

Then theres this, hard on the heels of an absurd, bloated 8.5%. And forgotten in that is that just 4 years prior they got 5.5%. So in the span of 4 years when many aren't getting anything or if they are, its 1.5%/year...They have received 13.5%......And forgotten in that, is the impact obvious and less so thats having on Municipalites.....And further, because they are an essential service and its arbitration, every other Police service and fire service will be piggy backing of that.
