Ohh its already here Joe. People walking into liquor stores and leaving with bottles in hand without paying.
The clerks are told to stand down and let them be.
They just make up the loss by increasing the prices....lol
The world is upside down and we need to make it "RIGHT" again.
As Impact said it happens here a lot. I know of a few liquor stores down town Ottawa that Vagrants regularly go in and steal liquor and they don't even hide it.
Have also seen the liquor things twice and some guy get a ham dinner for Xma 2 years ago.
With where we are heading we can expect this to be a continuous trend for a while.
Will this be the new normal?

How about the law in California where if you steal under $500 and get caught it is considered only a misdemeanor anymore than that and it is a felony - it is getting kinda sad that a crook has to have a calculator to make sure he stays under the $500 -
I guess we better go all Rittenhouse, arm everyone and start shooting them in the streets. (Yes that is sarcasm, as it seem not everyone grasps the concept.)

Pointing to the GDP does not nullify those horrible realities mentioned.
The higher median income might have something to do with the large entertainment industry and the concentration of millionaire movie/music stars in the state. What good is a slightly higher median income when inflation and cost of living is much higher, you have to play hopscotch down the street to avoid aids needles and aggressive homeless people, and you have to sit in traffic for hours to get anywhere?
