Sounds like a failure of the vaccine to prevent the transmission of the virus...but with the vaccine at least you only suffer symptoms like the seasonal flu..

The vaccine does not create an invisible gravitational barrier that blocks the virus. If you have exposure to the virus, it will ENTER your body, irrespective of vaccination state. All that matters is HOW sick you get ... PERIOD.

Stop pushing illogical points that are meaningless, to make yourself feel better.

Crosby is also asymptomatic, which means his viral load is so low he has no symptoms and couldn't even pass on the virus to anyone else. The only reason they know is because of a PCR test which has been proven to have a lot of false positives specially with higher cycle rates over 40.

So what about all those millions of people who recovered from covid and now have natural immunity that for the most part prevents them from even getting covid far better than those with a proven faulty vaccine that needs to keep being injected because it doesn't actually prevent further infections?

Most people don't find anyone being infected a laughing matter and would not share your glee at Crosby testing positive. His case does point out however the benefit of being vaccinated AND tested. The vaccine reduces the likelihood of hospitalization and death while testing identifies those who may be infected and don't know it. Testing is not a substitute for vaccination which is why everyone entering Canada must provide a negative COVID test whether they are vaccinated or not. Belt and suspenders.

I guess you don't understand a whole lot of what is going as is evident by most of your recent posts....sad after 2 yrs you'd think you would have at least understood the basics.

There are TWO functions of these vaccines.

It is the purpose of a vaccine to prevent you from getting infected ..that’s it’s Efficacy. Secondly, it's to prevent you from getting so sick you require hospitalization. .

Now 6 months in, Pfizer admits that their Vaccines 'Efficacy'..preventing getting an infection in the first place, has diminished as low as 45% while still preventing getting seriously ill and requiring Hospitalizations. Ergo their recommendation for 'Booster'..to increase its Efficacy again to prevent infections and transmission.

There are 2 sides to this, how sick you get and transmission, this is what you are missing.

It has been proven many times now that a vaccinated person can transmit the virus, yes the risk is lower but the risk is not gone.

Therefore vaccine passports are BS, you need to actually test, rapid testing is very very accurate, why not test people irrelevant of vaccination status, especially in places with high risk, like long term care and hospitals.

These points are not illogical.

Like I'm going to believe a government agency that is all about fear mongering. There were plenty of reports stating that transmission required long term close range exposure to an infected person with a viral load high enough to shed the virus. Instead we get don't yell or sing or hug or shake hands or touch surfaces and other bs to keep folks scared enough that they line up for experimental shots that were only approved on an emergency basis for a questionable pandemic that makes billions for big pharma with a history of very questionable practices.

All I see is a promo campaign for a booster shot and so on.

Also why is there no talk of natural immunity? Those who've successfully defeated covid naturally should be given priority, front of the line treatment so to speak. Right this way sir! They are not a risk to anyone.

EDSON, Alta. – A party west of Edmonton has landed several people in the hospital with COVID-19, sources have confirmed to CityNews.

And this was no ordinary party–it was a “COVID party”, where guests tried to intentionally get the virus to “build up natural immunity” without getting vaccinated.

One source told CityNews that the Edson party, which happened about two weeks ago, had sent some people to the local hospital. A number of Edmonton ICU cases also come from the party.

The gathering was similar to chickenpox parties where children were intentionally exposed to the virus, but University of Alberta virology expert Dr. Lorne Tyrrell says COVID-19 is much deadlier.

“It’s just unbelievable. And it’s very sad and very irresponsible to think you’d get good immunity from the virus without getting serious disease,” he said.

“[COVID-19] carries a mortality rate around two per cent but also we’ve got all the long-COVID people who’ve been infected and have had symptoms for a long period of time.”

The idea of natural herd immunity has been prevalent recently. Albertan country singer Paul Brandt made headlines after he posted on social media that he didn’t need to be vaccinated because he already had the virus.

Brandt later tweeted that after conversations with medical experts, he reversed course on the decision.

Tyrrell says this kind of misinformation on immunity can lead to deadly consequences.

“We thought originally that if we had 70 to 80 per cent of people vaccinated, we’d slow up this pandemic. But with the delta variant being more easily transmissible, we need to see herd immunity to get closer to 90 or 93 per cent.”

CityNews reached out to Alberta Health Services for comment on the Edson party, Edson case numbers, and concerns around intentionally contracting COVID-19.

“People who are hosting or attending these parties not only put themselves at risk of serious illness or death, but are adding stress to the health-care system, which in turn may prevent other Albertans from getting the care they need,” said the newly-appointed Alberta health minister, Jason Copping, in a statement.

“COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to rise, largely in unvaccinated Albertans.”

It wouldn’t be equal to the vaccinated, because as we have seen over 40% of new cases are from vaccinated. Ergo the vax passport is redundant.

The only type of ‘passport’ or proof that makes any sense therefore would be proof of previous infection/antibodies.
