The Liberals 'Expert Panel" has come out with how they will handle Travel when the restrictions are eventually lifted.
Since some of you travel a lot...so might be of interest

Summary of evidence
"Between March 10 and 16, 2021, exempt travellers comprised 31% of all international air arrivals and 93% of land arrivals.
In December 2020, preliminary results from a Canadian pilot study found that 2.8 exempt workers for every 100 exempt workers at land and air borders tested positive for COVID-19."
"Two other Canadian pilots found zero cases among exempt travellers crossing by land"
What a crock. Exempt travellers clearly indicate there is no problem.
These people are totally out of control and simply pushing a jab for everyone.
PCR testing is flawed and they continue to use it in order to push their narrative.
The court dates can't come soon enough.

There's new political muscle in the United States pushing for a return to more regular travel between Canada and the United States after more than a year of pandemic-related disruptions.
The top member of the U.S. Senate, Chuck Schumer, has written a letter to members of the Biden administration making several demands regarding the border.

It's easy for an Island nation to do 100% travel restrictions and Quarantine....not so easy when you have a 9,000 km land crossing that has the RCMP helping refugees cross it illegally and an PM who refuses to stop international travel. :)Quote:

Just read the document. I don't see this as being sustainable in the long run. Sure get your vaccine but wait until a variant starts getting by the vaccine and you will be in the same boat as the unvaccinated, which they elude to in the document.
If land border crossings return to anything close to normal the testing will not be able to keep up. The 7 day quarantine for land travelers is not practical in any way. It may be practical for people returning home but for those travelling to another country it doesn't really work.
These restrictions will continue to be an impediment the resumption of normal trade and trade practices. It won't be long until the travel industry or what's left of it starts to push back.
COVID will become the new flu, the vaccines will not be able to keep up with the variants and this system of control will eventually collapse. The Liberals and Democrats will want to keep this going for as long as possible but I think a change in government on either side will adjust these policies.
I wouldn't get the vaccine for the sake of travel at this time, especially not Canada to US travel. The smart money is to wait and see how this plays out. This social and medical experiment is coming to a close and none of this is sustainable.

So with variants. Sooner or later there is going to be a variant that the vaccines won't work for. Everyone talks about a new vaccine to counter this...fine. The truth is coming out, more everyday. They have suppressed this for as long as they can and the longer they hold out before they start accepting these treatments the worse it will be politically and possibly criminally.
The problem is that if they accept these treatments then there can be no emergency use authorization for the vaccines in the US. So they have a problem, if they accept the treatments then it will show the vaccines were unnecessary. The politicians and unelected health bureaucrats have painted themselves into a corner.
I think this is the last push for the vaccine and if you can hold out, this will be all over in a year or less.
For the border, just have everyone that crosses the border take a prophylactic dose of Ivermectin. Problem solved.

My daughter was just prescribed the one they are using in Mexico . They were asking at the counter if we were going to use it for covid treatment. 4.47 for a script after benefits just yesterday. I would have no problem getting or trying ivermectin in the treatment of covid.
