You are missing the fundamental problem here, the wrong people are having easy access and too many people are tweaking and killing, maybe if they figure out why people are tweaking and killing they may be able to solve this problem. If they take away all the guns from the Americans do you really think the people that may do something like this would ever turn in their guns? Do you have any idea how many militias there are in the US? Do you know how may paramilitary organizations are out there? You would take the guns out of the hands of a guy who hunts coyotes but you would never get the guns out of the hands of something who thinks the government is out to get them.

I think you are missing the point too! Driving a truck thru a crowd did some real damage in France but not so much elsewhere (Canada a week ago) because it is not the right tool to kill.
