Agreed, we must enable those with challenges to reach their full potential. My wife was a special ed and ESL teacher for 32 years. Snow , you seemed to imply that special ed students found an appropriate place for themselves as cops or civic workers. Why would you mention that tale of your high school peers? Sure sounded like an attempt at an affront to me. There are many rewarding roles they can fill , in any corporation or business.
True. No problem with special ed. Many of them are smarter then kids in "Regular" classes. The problem is that in the past "anyone" that was outside the normal scale got sent to special ed.Quote:

As for me? Yup joined in Jan 1986, after I left applied to RCMP. Got told I did not have much of a chance, because there was a quota of NON-WHITE males that had to be filled..
