Okay . Floyd, he died from various complications, lets say the knee on the neck was the 'straw'. What the cop did, how he did it , and for how long, was excessive. Manslaughter.

I disagree. That was a deliberate act carried out over a long period of time (9 furkin' minutes with a handcuffed subject SMH). I think that makes it murder 1. Every other officer that stood around watching it should have all been charged with manslaughter as parties to the offense. They got off lucky by only being dismissed. I hope they get sued into oblivion by the family. This whole thing is an outrage and that's coming from an ex-cop.

Yep,I saw that. The federal suit was paid by he city. The civil suit against the individual officers is still active (at least,the last I read). Their financial lives will be ruined forever which is kind of too bad because two of the four were rookies right out of the academy. Now,unless they were trained that it was the procedure (which I doubt),they sure should have known better and stepped in,Chauvin being a senior training officer or not. I have ZERO sympathy for any of these clowns.

you really think if someone is on your neck like that for 10 minutes while your handcuffed you're gunna survive? drugs in his system or not, he was passed out and he still had his knee on the dudes neck come on now.

If he swallowed all his dope when the cops showed up and the autopsy said he died from an overdose. Well he died of an overdose.
Police brutality for his arrest for sure, but not homicide.
