I'm not married to my hunny and no kids with her. The only thing she gets is the house we both split on. Besides that she gets what's hers and that's it. I am fully aware about legal family disputes, that's why I keep my things in order...lol.

You live in the same house so she is a common-law Wife, with all the rights and problems even if you did not say "I Do". Laws say "you did" so that is equal to "I do".

Not in this province,not anymore. Common-law spouses are entitled to what they brought into the relationship and half of what the couple amassed while together divided equitably by whatever deal the couple agrees to,either amicably or by arbitration. The days of common law spouses shacking up for the sole purpose of ripping off the other are long gone.

I'll take on a 20 year old - just kidding. :) 46 year anniversary next week and very happy.

Trimmer21 pretty much summed it up when comes to unmarried spouse here.

So you know - 80% of the divorces are initiated by the woman - what does that tell you about women in our society

What makes you think I would wait to get to that point..

Based on the fact I have been:

1) Shot once.
2) Stabbed once
3) On fire three times over six months.
( Nomex is great stuff)
4) in two transport truck crashes were.
the truck was a write off.
5) lost the end of my thumb to a coy-wolf..
6) cut, slashed and hit in fights.
7) crashed cars, pickups and bikes

Chances are I will not live long enough to get to the drooling stage.
