Sometimes, not sure if it's a person needing leak a little bit, which I have "no issues with", don't "look down on men for it". "Talk therapy" is one of the best things a person can do, sadly most men keep things close to the vest which also leads to heart attacks and more (so outdated and manly man). I learned that lesson when I was 18 and in a group home :).
Or simply talking about life experiences. Most people if they have lived life, have skeletons or have been through things. Society these days is so screwed up and backwards. We go through our daily lives, put on these false faces "Hi Bob, how are you today". Bob answers "Oh man, what a great weekend, I washed my BMWer, the wife and I did this or that, my kids..so proud of them, look how great they are, look how great my life is.
Meanwhile Bob just found out he has a tumor, he's worried about paying the bills and one of his kids smoking dope like a fiend and marks are dropping, or his brothers wife is having an affair, or….
I've lived a colorful life. I'll go to my grave with no regrets, I've lived, I've faced some crap many only ever hear about ( How many people do you actually know who 8 weeks before surgery to remove a nasty tumor when they don't know if they will be alive the next x-mas come home the storybook "dear John/Empty home" and whose ex is still with her boss :).
I've spent a night in emerge wondering if my youngest would survive the night.
And much more.
Sharing experiences imo, just lets other people know they are normal, and we are all Bozo's on the bus of life.
