It's everywhere killing all ages and many teens. At the end of the day still a death and more than likely someone's son or daughter.
It's killed 20 thousands alone in 5 years it's a problem..

When I was younger, i would here of people having a gun accidents while cleaning their gun. I've since concluded that most of those gun cleaning accidents weren't accidents at all, but rather suicides. It appears that if you have life insurance and commit suicide insurance companies, have a clause in the policy where the policy becomes void or something, such that they don't have to pay out any life insurance to person's estate. However if the death is viewed as an accident the life insurance is paid out. I suspect that is why many such suicides were determine to be gun cleaning accidents. As for drug overdoses I suspect if there is no suicide note to suggest other wise, It's viewed as an accidental overdose.

That would require a conspiracy on a grand scale, from the Police to the Coroner to the family and finally to the insurance company. It just doesn't happen like that. While it's true that every life insurance policy sold in Canada has a two year exclusionary clause in the event of self-inflicted injury, the law requires that as long as the policy is in good standing, the insurance company is bound to honor the policy.
Perhaps that's no the case in recent times. Or maybe the current level of firearm training has prevented gun cleaning accidents from occurring in this day and age. However a number of years back there use to be a level of such occurrences that it certainly seemed something was out of whack, especially in regard to the frequency of such accidents and it made things seem might suspicious. You've been in the insurance business how long?

I don’t disagree but unless they live life with their head in the sand they fully know the risk they are taking and willing do so
That is far different from someone catching something unknowingly
I sympathize more with people who don’t take those high risks than the ones playing Russian roulette
