port hope is 10km east of Cobourg there is the fish ladder and a nice Tye food.
Was at the fish ladder today not much action going on two fish jumped in thirty minutes.
As mark said the fish ladder in port hope is nice to check out. As of yesterday only 800 up so far though.
Nice harbour to walk around. As for lunch all depends on what you feel like. There is a nice pub on covert street called the cat and fiddle I like it for lunches. There's also a place on the corner of university Ave and William street called let's eat and it has the best fish and chips around and it's dirt cheap.
Yesterday they did the trout lift at the cobourg mill golf course. It's on the corner of Elgin and ontario streets and should be able to see some trout jumping too. Food there isn't bad
Thanks for the info guys. the DIL has decided to go to a petting farm between Bellville and Trenton. but thanks again for your input. hopefully see some of the guys on this site at the fish and game club on the 2nd.
