Read this - http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/02/24...?intcmp=hplnws then think how this would have been handled in Canada - first the guy wouldn't have a concealed weapon to shoot the robber - then notice that the shooter wasn't handcuffed and charged with the idea that the court will straighten things out later - the shooter will not be arrested and charged with anything and in all probably get a medal for being a good and concerned citizen - sure is a different world - right

Did you notice that there are no details released? There are no details of what happened, where it happened and when it happened.
Maybe if the guy did not have a concealed firearm then there would not have been a shootout, maybe both people would still be alive?

Like I said, no details were released yet, as per the article. It looks like there was an attempted robbery, no clue who drew first, just that both were shooting at one another.

Joe: People in Canada don't get arrested " for not doing anything wrong". Arrests and charges are laid because they have broken the law, or were believed to have broken it. Clearly, the laws are vastly different in the US, than they are here. In the US, there has to be legislation that allowed this guy to shoot a robber. Here, there is no such justification, with the exception of very few strict conditions.
From my perspective, this POS got what he deserved ! That will never happen north of the border .
