Poor Deer
After picking a couple quarts of blueberries in my yard I sat down in a chair to take a break - a large doe came out of the woods and started feeding on the apples that had fallen from trees that I have - I watched this deer for about 20 minutes and watched how this poor deer had to contend with the flies that bothered it - it kept switching its tail - its skin - its ears - its legs - its head - I thought how in the world can that poor deer live with the flies biting it all the time - a deer is much better in the freezer than living and having to put up with flies like this - so figure that your doing a deer a favor when you take it down during hunting season -

If it’s not flies, then it’s coyotes or wolves, deep snow and cold, and sub-marginal food in the winter. A deer’s life is a constant struggle.

Yep, nature is cruel. But that’s why hunters are critical to keep nature in check..IMO

Not sure if you are doing the deer a favour (LoL !) but if given the choice of a fairly quick death by a hunter with a gun as opposed to being taken down by a pack of coyotes/wolves ?
