O'Toole to repeal firearms changes keep ban on 'assault weapons'

I agree if the Cons properly re-define what the liberals have called an 'assault rifle'.

I think its a play on words, he will keep the current ban on the weapons that have been banned for decades, not the new OIC bans that aren't really assault weapons. At least that is how I took what he said. Perhaps wishful thinking on my part

^^^^^^^ THIS!! ^^^^^^^ Liberals are fixated on the "assault rifle" monicher not knowing (or realizing) what an "assault rifle" actually is (as Rick_Iles has pointed out). Using their ignorance against the opposition is savvy political maneuvering. Trudeau has now dug himself a hole. All Erin needs to do is fill it in.
